The Operations Mgr is responsible for the all operational activities across the site. This role liaises with the Operations Director, UK, the General Manager, EU Health care and Operational Managers to ensure tactical alignment of the Operational Teams to meet organisational goals.

Key responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
  • Ensure that the Operation function is closely aligned with Project Delivery, Commercial and Scientific/Technical teams to achieve targets and deliver product quality and process capability on time and within budget.
  • Develop positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that production plans are aligned with customer needs.
  • Ensure that Customer Service targets are met and inventory levels are controlled, through an effective Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process.
  • Support any external quality audits with no major observations.
  • Ensure all activities conform to the Quality System and timely and thorough corrective actions are implemented when improvements are identified.
  • Maintain a cost reduction culture with year-on-year reductions built in to the Business Plans.
  • Hands-on Manufacturing and Distribution Management, building and leading teams, applying agile philosophies,
  • Coaching, Mentoring and Developing team members
  • Leading problem solving in complex manufacturing processes
  • Capacity Analysis and resource prioritisation across Operations
  • Inventory Management -Creating a Culture of Trust and Continuous Improvement
  • Comply with site Health and Safety procedures and standards.
  • Act at all times in an ethical manner, driving the same behaviours throughout the organisation.
Essential Skills

Experience Required

Ideally the candidate will have a degree level or equivalent, in business, scientific or engineering discipline. Ideally the candidate will have 10+ years experience in a regulated manufacturing environment, with a track record of leadership, delivering quality products, excellent customer service whilst driving cost reduction.
