We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Automotive Operations Director to join our Manufacturing Logistics sector working with our partners Aston Martin Lagonda. - Immediate focus of this role will be to oversee a large customer rationalisation project, ensuring management and governance, including multi-customer contracts and obligations.
- To lead site managers within their area of responsibility, promoting and ensuring safe, efficient, and profitable sites for the organisations and the customer.
- Establish annual and multi-year priorities and growth targets for each site. Balance multiple sites and customer requirements.
- Management of Budget and Resource, Operational performance, People and Talent as well as interfacing, negotiating, and resolving customer issues.
- Budget and P&L responsibility for multiple sites and overseeing and managing key projects on customer account.
- Recruitment and discipline in accordance with Company policy and HR support, mentoring and coaching talent alongside management of direct and dotted line reports.
- Experience in managing a linefeed operation within an auto/manufacturing environment –
- Knowledge of Sector including managing an EU freight network through 3rd party hauliers, sequencing, and kitting solutions -
- Experienced manager of leading and managing change across different locations via a central distribution hub –
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations within an open book environment.
- Knowledge of continuous improvement methodology both in terms of colleague engagement and customer cost challenges.
- Experienced manager of leading and managing change across different locations via a central distribution hub.
- Mobility required to be able to travel across the Region, Gaydon, Wellesbourne and St Athan.
