Day To Day This Job Will InvolveThe JobTo cover a period of maternity for at least 12 months. Reporting into Head of Risk & Assurance and with one report. A flexible employer at forefront of delivery of renewable energy.
  • Drive risk management and control performance through detailed work including development of risk & control registers working closely with business units, review and assess the adequacy and effectiveness of controls and development of key risk indicators.
  • Support quarterly integrated assurance framework control performance reporting to group
  • Management of a junior risk manager
  • Operational management of annual strategic GIA audit
  • Deputing for the Head of Risk on operational risk matters

About You
  • Up to date understanding of key risk and control concepts, tools and trends
  • Ability to provide thought leadership to UK business regarding operational risk matters, and ability to deploy a rang of styles to influence, negotiate and guide with gravitas to a broad range of stakeholders
  • Experience of risk management preferably from Energy or Industrial environment
  • Good understanding of the insurance and risk financing markets
  • Previous experience of designing and implementing risk management solutions and processes
  • A professional qualification in Risk Management
