MS1 - Offshore & Operations Engineer Location: Cornwall Salary: £25,000 - £28,000 + Offshore allowance Overview: First Military Recruitment are currently seeking an Offshore & Operations Engineer on behalf of one of our clients. The role is to represent the company within the offshore environment on a variety of projects including geotechnical survey and equipment mobilisation. At HQ you will assist the operations department with the routine maintenance and defect rectification of rental and client equipment, shipment of products to fulfil ongoing contractual commitments. Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel however candidates from all backgrounds will be considered. Duties and Responsibilities: You will be accountable to the operations manager and responsible for preparing, mobilising, operating and demobilising of equipment on offshore projects. Conducting pre and post rental inspections, all aspects of routine/preventative maintenance including fault finding and defect rectification of equipment. To assist with the preparation and despatching of equipment to clients including ongoing global client support. You may be required to liaise with clients, crew members and occasionally attend meetings when in the field. You will adhere to all QHSE regulations, be organised, self-motivated and keen to constantly learn new skills and work in our vibrant team. Skills and Qualifications: In date passport with at least 12 months remaining. Minimum 3 years experience of working within the offshore industry. Degree level qualification, time served/apprenticeship may be considered. Valid BOSIET or similar qualifications. Valid OGUK or similar medical certificate. UK driving licence. Willingness to travel globally. Happy to work away from home for extended periods of time. A positive, confident and determined approach. Excellent IT and communication skills. A high degree of self-motivation and ambition. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Knowledge of electrical or hydraulic principles.
