Overview

First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Maintenance Engineer on behalf of one of our clients.

As an experienced Maintenance Engineer you will report to the Maintenance Supervisor and help maximise the machinery operating times at each site, maintain machine performance, and be an integral part of the growing team.

Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel however all candidates will be given due consideration.

Duties And Responsibilities

Attend to breakdowns onsite ensuring that there is always a rapid response and that plant equipment and machinery breakdown time is minimised.

Carry out repairs to plant and equipment during production, effectively and efficiently, either alone and/or as part of a team.

To carry out PPM onsite whilst always ensuring that there is a pro-active approach to planned maintenance and a high PPM output.

Deliver on plant uptime and maintenance KPI’s through planned, preventative & predictive maintenance.

Deliver improvement work on machinery and site improvement work.

Ensure Engineering time is managed effectively and that that there is low Engineering down-time; and Improve OEE.

Working a day / late shift rotation: 7am-3pm / 3pm - 11pm, with overtime paid at time and a half Mon-Saturday and double time Sunday.

Based at our Stonehouse sites, but work around all sites (company vans for transport around sites).

Skills

And Qualifications

Time served electro-mechanical maintenance engineer with great fault-finding abilities to find root causes of breakdowns quickly as well as performing crucial PPM work around the sites.

Experience

of the PVC or aluminium window industry machinery manufacturers (ie Urban, Haffner, Emmegi, Elumatec, Stuga, Rotox and Hollinger) is advantageous, but not essential.

However, CNC machinery knowledge is transferrable and the right knowledge base, aptitude, methodology and skill level will mean with training the same skill level can be attained quickly.

We are looking for a candidate that has drive, motivation and determination to help take forward the maintenance dept with a positive, can-do attitude.
