Speak to us about how we might be able to accommodate a flexible working arrangement whether that’s job share, part time or another flexible pattern. In addition, although the role advertised may have a ‘home’ office base indicated, we remain committed to supporting flexibility around workplace locations. If it works for the service, we will do our best to make it work for you.

Unless exempt, we encourage and support staff to be vaccinated as this remains the best line of defence against COVID-19.

Cornwall is now embarking on its three-year transformation of its core community mental health services; we are looking for someone to work with us to assist the development of the eating disorders service. We are an organisation who will recognise & value your clinical expertise, training, and experience, with a genuine commitment to your career development and continued learning. We will enable you to use your clinical skills, encourage you to develop your ideas to shape our compassionate mental health services.

The successful candidate will hold a caseload of patients with eating disorders, deliver Occupational Therapy assessments and therapeutic interventions to the patient group and supervise other occupational therapists in the team. The post holder would work as an integrated member of the multidisciplinary team, and would support the functions of the wider team, such as covering duty desk, triaging referrals, delivering eating disorder assessments and therapeutic interventions in addition to their OT role. The post holder will need to be prepared to travel to deliver treatment, as well as offering appointments using digital platforms.

The post holder may be supervising Band 5 occupational therapists or peer support workers working in the Eating Disorders Service, as well as offering advice and recommendations to other members of the MDT.
