As we continue to grow, it’s more important than ever that we have an amazing team to keep our customers coming back for more, which is why we’re on the lookout for motivated National Buying Administration Assistants to join the team on 23-month fixed-term contracts.

You’ll work alongside members of the Buying Team on numerous tasks, providing a comprehensive and professional support service. This includes general administration, word processing, data entry and filing, so it’s important you’re a well-organised individual.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide a comprehensive and professional support service to the Buying Team (Assistant/Analyst/Director).
  • Utilise your knowledge and initiative within the boundaries of the job description as described in the organisation’s management system.
  • General administration, word processing, data entry and filing.
  • Ensure all manual and computerised processes, procedures, and files are accurate and up to date at all times, including CBIS information.
  • Ensure that a polite and professional manner is maintained in all internal/external communications.
  • Contribute positively and constructively to the Buying Team.
  • Provide cover for colleagues where necessary.
  • Creating contracts and general purchasing administration.
  • Administer the tendering process and all relevant documentation including competitor information.
  • Sample management.
  • Control buying records, ensuring information is up to date and accurate at all times.
  • Carry out all administration duties for the category.
  • Manage multiple projects whilst prioritising.
  • Work as part of cross-functional team.

Essential Skills Required:

  • Educated to GCSE level in Maths and English.
  • Ability to plan ahead and meet deadlines with a high level of personal organisation.
  • Strong attention to detail.

Desirable Skills Required:

  • A Levels or high education.
  • Good sense of urgency and adaptability under pressure.
