Job Title: Music Teacher

Location: Wigan

Start Date: January

Salary: £160 - £190 per day (dependant on experience)

Are you a passionate and dedicated music teacher with a proven track record in strong behaviour management?

We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Secondary music teacher to join an Ofsted rated ’Good’ school in Wigan. This is a temporary position, starting in January and ending at the end of the academic year.

Key Responsibilities:

- Covering music Lessons up to KS4 level

- Utilize strong behaviour management strategies to ensure a conducive atmosphere for learning.

- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters academic and personal development.

- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.

- Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the overall success of the department and the school.

Requirements:

- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a PGCE in Secondary Education. Must specialise in Music

- Alternatively, substantial and valuable experience teaching these subjects at Secondary School level.

- A valid DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) certificate or a willingness to obtain one before starting.

Skills and Attributes:

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Exceptional behaviour management skills to create a positive and focused learning environment.

- Passion for inspiring the next generation of musicians.

- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students.

- Effective classroom management skills.
