Job Description

A Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technicianis sought for a recycling facility in Runcorn, Cheshire. This subsidiary (of an International premium manufacturer of polymer solutions with a multi-billion Euro turnover) is focused on growing the circular economy and they see innovation within PVC recycling as pivotal to their global sustainability strategy. By recycling post-consumer PVC windows and doors, it minimises waste costs whilst realising the future value of recycled PVC and reducing the impact on landfill.
The Role:
    Plan and carry out routine scheduled maintenance work as directed;
    Respond with urgency to all breakdowns and diagnosing breakdown problems;
    Adhere to all Environmental, Health and Safety policies, procedures and regulations;
    Fit new parts and ensure equipment is working efficiently and safely;
    Maintain general housekeeping and safe working area;
    Support with projects on process/recycling machinery;
    Working on a shift rotation of 06:00am -14:00pm and 14:00pm -22:00pm, 5 days per week. Weekly rotational shifts
    However In the first 3 months you will be working day shifts only 9.00am 5.00pm

The Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician will have :
    Ideally ONC Mechanical Engineering qualified;
    Previous experience in a manufacturing or recycling environment, with experience working with electrical control panels and electrical fittings;
    You will be mechanically or electrically bias, but will be able to work in both environments, without supervision and be able to make a decision when needed.
    Must be able to operate in a fast-paced organisation and handle multiple projects simultaneously within set timeframes;
    Must be able to interact effectively and diplomatically with all company personnel under minimum supervision and be responsive to the requirements of department members and other departments with whom interaction is necessary;
    Must be flexible with work schedules and able to work all shift patterns.
