UWS has a distinctive multi campus portfolio, with campuses in Ayr, Dumfries, Lanarkshire, London and Paisley.


A fantastic opportunity has arisen within Campus Services for a Mechanical & Electrical Manager to join the Estates team. Based in Paisley, the post has a multi-campus remit and is responsible for providing support and assistance on all aspects of installation, maintenance and development of mechanical & electrical building services or related project installations. The postholder will contribute to the operation, sustainability and energy conservation in relation to mechanical & electrical building services and associated equipment within the University estate.


The postholder will line manage a multi-disciplined maintenance staff, establishing good working relationships and enabling the team to collectively work as a group to meet agreed objectives, and will supervise contractors in accordance with the established UWS policies and procedures.


The successful candidate will have a relevant degree or above in a related subject (e.g. Building Services Engineering) and a professional membership with an organisation such as CIBSE. They will have significant relevant experience in Mechanical and Electrical Building Services including an understanding of design, commissioning and efficient BMS performance.
