Strategic Planning is a small team at the heart of the University, responsible for the development and deployment of analysis and critical thinking to inform institutional policy and performance.


We are seeking to appoint a talented, self-motivated and well-organised individual to a newly-created role which will help shape the University’s performance through a passion for data analytics and the use of data for better decision making. The role will join a growing team focused on analytics across all aspects of the University’s business: learning and teaching, research and enterprise, human and financial resources and marketing.


The postholder will initially focus particularly on learner data, and help build the University’s capacity on learner analytics and modelling to support our students and achieve our institutional truth that ‘we are here for our students’. The postholder will work closely with colleagues in academic and student services to develop insightful analytics and to be a key partner in delivering the change in institutional practice. The Data and Analytics Officer will also be involved in other significant projects as required by the University.


This is an exciting opportunity for candidates with excellent data and analytical skills to have a real impact on the University. The postholder will work closely with the Strategic Planning Senior Manger to deliver value from these activities to inform and improve institutional performance and the staff and student experience.
