Job description

My client is a global leader in Fire & Security prevention applications based in Coventry. They are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer - Electronics to join their team developing devices used in consumer electronics devices.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced engineer to join a growing organisation who believe in empowering their work force in order for everyone to progress together. The Mechanical Design Engineer - Electronics will be involved in the complex electronic enclosure design using plastic injection moulding techniques. You will be expected to produce and evaluate conceptual designs and models as well as create drawings and assembly details.

The successful Mechanical Design Engineer - Electronics will require the following knowledge, Skills and Experience:

-Relevant degree with a minimum of 2 years of industrial experience in Mechanical Design
-3D CAD experience essential (preferably SolidWorks)
- Actively participate in all aspects of mechanical design including prototyping, SLAs, 3D modelling, 2D drawing and New Product Introduction(NPI
- Experience of enclosure design or designing around electronic products
- Knowledge of injection moulding including part design, tooling and component approval
- Author, review and maintain technical documents such as Design Specifications
