Are you looking for an electronics design job in Scotland? If so, this role in the Central Belt could be for you!

A global high-technology Product Design and Manufacturing Specialist are looking for a Senior Electronic Design Engineer. You’ll be supporting global clients by managing the design, development and delivery of products for a variety of industries - recent digital designs include; board design for hand held medical devices that are used in hospitals, a network interface card and data switch board for a supercomputer and a video processing card for a military aircraft.

This Senior Electronic Design Engineer will develop to play a key role liaising with customers and other departments. You will be working on a range of complex electronic products, taking responsibility for some of the more digital aspects within a highly experienced team.

Key responsibilities of the Senior Electronic Design Engineer job:
*To confidently lead a team - you must have a proven background providing technical guidance, schedule and budget etc.
*Develop engineering and product concepts that are innovative, of high-quality and within budgets.
*You will be regarded as a "go to" technical specialist and leader in at least one area of processes, tools, or industry knowledge.
*To interact comfortably with customers throughout the product development process.
*Lead the evaluation and improvement of processes, tools, and methodologies using Lean Sigma concepts and tools.

Key skills required for the Senior Electronic Design Engineer job:
*Proven design experience (ideally with micro-processors, memories, and peripheral logic components (DDR, SRAM, USB, SPI, PCI/PCIe, Ethernet, op-amps, comparators, etc.))
*Experience of schematic capture using mainstream packages such as Cadence, Mentor Graphics and Altium
*Experience of developing PCB layout design constraints and PCB manufacture and fabrication processes
*Knowledge of firmware and analogue design

This will be a customer facing role and the Senior Electronic Design Engineer must be confident presenting and liaising with customers at all levels.
