Mammoet’s Thornaby depot are seeking a full time Mechanic to join our team. You will be required to have a strong understanding of hydraulics and basic electrical systems on mobile plant machinery such as Cranes, Trucks, LVs, and Trailers. This is a permanent nightshift role, working 4 x 10 hour shifts per week with call outs as required

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Ensuring the condition of equipment is in line with the applicable standards and instructions
  • Performing all-round maintenance and repair services
  • Carrying out work to a high quality, including inspection, prevention, renovation and modification
  • Completing new-build projects when required
  • Working on different types of mechanical (auxiliary) equipment related to diverse power transmission systems
What You’ll Need

  • Professional level experience in maintenance operations, driver and control, hydraulic, pneumatic and electronic systems. Basic level experience in rigging operations and equipment
  • English, basic proficiency verbal and written
  • Safety training and certification to Mammoet standards
  • Evidence of experience in a similar role, ideally in any/some of the following sectors: civil engineering, construction, renewables, oil and gas, offshore, ports and mining
  • Three years of relevant work experience
  • Secondary education in mechanical engineering or automotive engineering
