We are looking for a legal services intern to join us on a 12-month contract. You will be working within our busy insurance disputes team providing marketing and business research support across a range of insurance markets including employment disputes, personal injury, financial institutions and fine art, specie and jewellers block amongst others.

This is a great opportunity to work alongside ambitious lawyers and experienced knowledge and marketing professionals to help you develop your skills and gain experience and insight into the world of legal services.

The role can be based from any of our offices except London.
What does the position involve?
Our team works with a range of insurers, brokers and insured professionals and entities involving insured market risks in the UK and overseas. We network widely with “best friend” law firms in other jurisdictions to support their market profile and enhance or own. We collaborate with the wider firm to identify, target and acquire new business and clients, using a variety of media to manage, develop and enhance our market profile. Our partners and lawyers now need additional support which will include research on a range of legal areas but principally in the development and co-ordinating of their marketing and business development initiatives.

What skills and attributes would I need?
We are looking for someone who has good academics, e.g. a 2.1 degree or equivalent, ideally in la and/or business studies an who has enthusiasm for the practice and business of law. We are looking for someone who has very good research and analysis skills, including the ability to use online information sources. We are looking for someone who has excellnt written English and a keen eye for detail and someone who has excellent presentational, negotiating and advocacy skills. The successful person would also have a high level of IT skills and familiarity with a range of social media chanenels.
