We own and manufacture in the UK many leading brands including Cushelle toilet tissue and Plenty kitchen roll.We want you to help us maintain production for the future and create new innovative ways of working. About The RoleYou may be surprised how involved and challenging our papermaking process is. Our paper machines are larger than a jumbo jet, and the machines run faster than the motorway speed limit.With a strong history of recruiting and developing apprentices, you will join an experienced team with a passion for coaching new members of the team. What You Will DoAs Manufacturing Process Apprentice, you will study for a nationally recognised Level 2 qualification in Performing Engineering Operations, Level 3 Process Industries Operations and a BTEC Level 3. Throughout the programme you will have the support of an assessor from Coleg Cambria.Your work-based learning will focus on:

• how to operate the machinery both effectively and safely
• understanding key manufacturing systems, including an awareness of production costs.
• how to undertake maintenance of the machine including some mechanical responsibilities
• completing audits
• how to ensure production meets quality standards

This will allow you to develop your skills through a mix of on-the-job training and academic study. On completion of your apprenticeship, you will be ready for a manufacturing operations role. Who Are YouWe would love to hear from you if you have;

• A minimum of 3 GCSE’s at grades 4 / C including Maths, English and a Science
• The ability to work well under pressure
• A logical and methodical approach to problem solving
• Strong communication skills – both verbal and written
• A flexible and solutions focused approach
• The ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Key to success for this apprenticeship is to have the ability to balance time between studies and work to ensure success in both.This apprenticeship involves shift work so you will be a minimum age of 18 years on starting employment with us. You will follow a shift pattern of four on and six off (2 x 12 hour days and 2 x 12 hour nights). If successful you will need to be available to commence as soon as possible.
