AL551: Manufacturing ManagerLocation: Hereford Salary: £40-50k Overview: First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Manufacturing Manager on behalf of one of our clients. To provide effective management and leadership enabling the company objectives to be fulfilled. You will be expected to follow all current company processes, procedures and guidelines and actively contribute to continuous improvement.Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel however all candidates will be given due consideration. Duties and Responsibilities: Oversee the Production Planner. Ensure that customer delivery dates are met. Ensure weekly production planners are produced in line with requirements. Works order processing. Manage labour resource efficiently and effectively. Ensure staff contracts are delivered. Ensure sufficient labour resource is available to meet the demand. Control of appropriate selection and recruitment. Ensure that build quality and time targets are met by all staff. Monitor and analyse build quality in order to improve. Ensure all paperwork and sign off documentation is present and correct. Feedback quality issues to relevant bay leaders and operatives. Ensure all data is recorded and interpreted accurately. Effective use of data to drive improvements. To ensure area production plans are completed accurately. To ensure build efficiency is measured accurately. To actively drive production efficiency improvements. Ensure accurate and timely collection of data. Effective use of data to drive improvement. Maintenance of all training matrices for all staff. Ensure training is appropriate to business need. Ensure regular PDP’s are carried out on all production staff (Annually as a minimum). Ensure staff skill levels are regularly appraised. To identify training needs for productive staff. Produce accurate KPI data. Analyse KPI data and use as a basis for improvement. Report KPI data to Section and Board. To identify and carry out building maintenance as and when required. Ensure all checks are completed within agreed timescales. To ensure that all build processes comply with relevant H&S. To address and correct any H&S concerns in production. To ensure all staff wear the correct H&S PPE. Ensure maintenance matrix is maintained. Skills and Qualifications: Good communication skills.Supervisory experience. Financial awareness.IT literate. Team worker.Customer focus. Manufacturing experience.Commitment to personal development.Copes with pressure Location: Hereford Salary: £40-50k
