Job Description - Manufacturing Engineer
Location - Birmingham
Reporting to - Project Manager

Work description:

• To validate component and manufacturing process.
• Knowledge of NDT and special process techniques
• Good knowledge on non- conformance management
• Responsible in leading and managing the daily cell and line meetings
• Identify key manufacturing processes and Technical Instructions.
• Understanding of product design and introduction
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings.
• Good knowledge on PFMEA and Control plan creation
• Participate in cross-functional meetings and work with support functions viz. Manufacturing, and projects with provide necessary support
• Knowledge of the 6 S standards and implementation of the same within the cell/facility
• Understanding of Manufacturing Engineering core processes (e.g. process planning, inspection planning, tooling, creation of operator instructions)

• Outgoing –capable of pursuing others for support
• Good knowledge on various component manufacturing processes
• Well versed with Engineering & manufacturing drawings
• Team player

• Understanding of all manufacturing processes including conventional, non conventional , Advanced and Net near shape manufacturing.
• Understanding of product design and design intents
• Understanding of Manufacturing Engineering core processes (e.g. process planning, inspection methods and tooling)
• Awareness of aerospace engine products and materials
• Good knowledge of Process activity rates, Advanced manufacturing and Cost effective manufacturing methods
• Good knowledge of Raw material forms and process (casting, forgings, etc)
• Good knowledge of special process such as heat treatments, chemical processing etc.

• Diploma / Graduate in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering
• Minimum hands on experience in Manufacturing Engineering 6-8 years
• Should have background on Quality Management Systems
• Green Belt certification in any Quality initiative would be added advantage
