We’re looking for a Manager, Structured Finance, Liberty Global Specialty Finance o join us in Hammersmith.
Liberty Global Specialty Finance (LGSF) is a financial services business wholly owned by Liberty Global offering Structured Financing solutions to companies within and outside of Liberty Global’s ecosystem. The business leads the origination, structuring, and execution of initiatives across all components of the working capital cycle, including Supply Chain Finance, Securitization & Receivables Finance, and Inventory Financing. The Manager, Structured Finance will be responsible for contributing towards further growth through supporting deal origination, structuring and execution.
What will you be doing?
Product structuring and execution
  • Vendor finance – support the running of the supply chain financing programmes, of which there is ~$5bn in scope today across Europe, with 350 strategic suppliers and 25 banks providing capital
  • Operate as supporting point of contact, alongside Director, for VF stakeholders (clients, platform banks, other external funders, internal teams – treasury, legal)
  • Setting up new platforms, onboarding suppliers, executing structural enhancements to the programme, produce materials in support of raising capital, managing KYC, and deliver operational, and potentially legal, workstreams ensuring seamless execution
  • Contribute towards the development of new products, currently at varying stages of finalization. This currently includes the development of inventory finance and dynamic discounting products.
Origination
  • Originate deal flow across the products from within the Liberty Global group, and beyond through supporting discussions and production of marketing materials. Significant potential pipeline will enable exposure to different product sets and clients across UK/European jurisdictions
  • Identify new opportunities where the LGSF product suite may be applied and support with market analysis and subsequent implementation, including stakeholder management (e.g., Treasury, Legal, Tax, Senior Management).
  • Get involved in supporting dialogue with potentially suitable external companies
  • Support the wider development of LGSF business through the above, as well as pursuing new business ideas that may fit the mandate of the team
We tend to look for people with:
  • Proven experience in a financial/project management role within a treasury or transactional banking function of a financial institution or a corporate (desirable))
  • Prior experience with supply chain finance and/or other relevant working capital products is a significant plus
  • Robust financial modelling and presentational skills
  • Exposure to large scale projects and ideally experience in establishing financing structures/facilities
  • Experience in communication with potential clients (internal/external) and partners
  • Team player with proven leadership skills
  • Can-do mentality, pragmatic, drives for excellent results
  • Demonstrable experience of working in an international, collaborative environment
