We’re looking for a Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Payment Operations Team in Bradford.

The Payment Operations team are responsible for several key areas including end-to-end processing of all financial transactions such as billing, customer payments, accounts payable and receivable, in compliance with supplier accounts, applicable legislation and internal policies.

What will you be doing?

  • To lead on the resolution of Accounts Payable complex queries
  • To support month-end processes and reconciliations
  • Co-ordinate with all teams within payment operations to improve the customer experience
  • Reviewing processes and actively promoting suggestions to improve process, procedures and systems
  • To provide high quality support to stakeholders at all times
  • Represent your team on company-wide projects and initiatives
  • Manage the team in the absence of the Team Lead

Essential

  • Experience working within an fast-paced Accounts Payable department
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to identify process improvement opportunities and ensure effective resource utilisation
  • Strong reconciliation skills
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills

Desirable

  • Team lead/management experience
  • Experience of working with Finance / Procurement systems like Oracle and APRO
  • Interest in Automation technologies
  • Project Management
  • Strong investigative skills
