About The Role

Community Integrated Care is looking for a highly skilled Management Accounting Manager to join our Commercial Finance Team on a full time, permanent basis!

This is an opportunity to join our Commercial Finance Management team and lead the Management Accounting Team to ensure our month end processes are completely quickly, accurately, and are properly reported to enable our charity to deliver the best life possible for the people we support through great financial returns.
Day to Day
Based remotely or in our Support Services office in Widnes and reporting to the Head of Commercial Finance, you’ll lead the growing Management Accounting Team, and day to day you will be:
  • Managing the full month-end process, posting accruals and prepayments to represent trading, capturing variances and one offs, reviewing overall Income and Expenditure with your team
  • Leading your team - coaching and mentoring the team to develop their skills, focussing on improvements to analysis and reporting
  • Coordinating multiple and high value cost departments (£16million, including grant, transport, and housing income)
  • Reporting - getting the right information to the right people at the right time - and making improvements along the way
  • Working with our key systems - posting information to the ERP, pulling reports
  • The "go to" person for our Accounts Payable and Receivable teams’ queries
  • Working with colleagues across the charity to help them understand and analyse their financial information

  • You pick up systems quickly - it never takes you long to learn a new app, programme, or website
  • You are brilliant at communicating - you find it easy to explain things in a way that is easy for others to understand
  • You love working with data - you are confident in assessing and analysing complex data and other financial information
  • You love a good routine - nothing sharpens your focus like a reporting deadline
  • People describe you as "a bit picky" - you’re a stickler for accuracy and you’ve a great eye for detail
  • You really enjoy leading others, sharing your experiences and helping them develop
  • Skills and Experience
  • You’ll be a part-qualified/qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
  • You’ll have great experience with Excel - particularly manipulating and managing large and complex data, formulae, SQL links
  • You’ll have worked in a large and complex organisation - with a high number of users, sites, and income streams
  • It would be great if you know Visual Basic Code - but this isn’t essential

    Flexibility! You can work your full time hours over 4 days and enjoy a long weekend, or work over 5 days to accommodate your other commitments. You may need to be available to work from our Support Services office in Widnes when required, but otherwise you can work from home or a flex between the two.
