Are you a fully qualified accountant or in the latter stages of your accountancy qualification seeking an exciting new role in a forward-thinking and ambitious company? As part of the Finance team, you will work cross-functionally, ensuring a high level of accuracy is maintained in financial transactions and reporting and provide timely and appropriate management information to the business.

This is a full-time, permanent position working 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday. Hybrid working options available.

Management Accountant responsibilities include:

· Review and reconcile milk purchases and farmer payments, bulk sales & waste reports

· Manage the Assistant Accountant who completes transactional milk records

· Analysis and commentary on milk cost variances monthly

· Profitability analysis by products and customer accounts

· Month end overhead analysis for various cost centres

· Involvement in budgeting and forecasting process

· Preparation of audit & tax information

· Providing back-up cover for other roles within the department as required e.g. reception cover

Management Accountant requirements include:

· Full or part qualified accountant

· Experienced in accounting systems and Microsoft Office packages

· Strong numeracy ability and communication skills, written and verbal

· Proactive with a high level of accuracy and commitment

· Structured, resilient approach to work with ability to use initiative to solve problems

· Ability to prioritise, manage own workload, work within time constraints and ensure targets achieved in fast-moving environment subject to change
