LSI is looking forMaintenance Technician to support the continued operation of Lonza’s manufacturing hub in Huddersfield. Our Huddersfield site is the main production plant for Europe, Asia and Africa producing over 22,000 tonnes of material across 78 different products. Production is carried out 24/7 and the on-site engineering team ensure the plant operates in a safe & reliable way. As the Maintenance Technician you will be primary the “hands on” maintenance resource on site, working closely with the Electrical Engineering Technician and the Engineering Manager to carry out preventative and reactive maintenance activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure that the risks associated with maintenance activities are identified and a suitable safe system of work is defined
  • Manage the preventative maintenance system
  • Provide a repair service for failed or faulty equipment on site
  • Carry out preventative maintenance tasks and plant inspections
  • Carry out other engineering tasks as requested
  • Provide training to production staff on operation and basic maintenance of plant equipment
  • Provide occasional out of hours maintenance cover
