Job Description

Are you a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer looking to further their career with a Major Steel Company who are expanding their business rapidly and a re based in West Bromwich?

Annual Salary£32,000 - £40,000 (DOE)
Annual Leave: 23 days holiday & 8 public holidays
Weekly Shifts:06.00 - 14.00 / 14.00 - 22.00 (rotating) early finish Fridays.

JOB SCOPE AND AIMS
Key duties revolve around installation of mechanical and electrical components on machines and offices. Maintenance of machines as well as troubleshooting and repairs whenever there is a breakdown.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
    Schedule and undertake periodic maintenance on all equipment, components, and installations..
    Ensure that equipment is in good working order to prevent disruption of activities.
    Installation of fresh mechanical and electrical components and fittings..
    Assist in forecasting requirements.
    Keep record of all stock and supplies, including company’s equipment.
    Working in collaboration with the production team to formulate the best cost-effective manufacturing process.
    Perform energy audit and recommend alternative sources of energy.to reduce costs
    Ensure that all mechanical/electrical gadgets and instruments are switched off after close of work daily.
    Fix and maintain lighting fixtures and fittings.
    Troubleshoot machine breakdowns and provide preventive maintenance services.
    Learn new skills and attend training programs to increase knowledge of trends and best practices in the industry.
    Provide safe working environment for members of staff, and ensure electricity induced accidents and mishaps are prevented.
    Take steps to prevent fire outbreaks by making appropriate recommendations to management.
    Supervise maintenance works when new projects are undertaken, supporting contractors.
    Support the company in increasing profitability by managing resources efficiently and making necessary recommendations.

SKILLS/ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED
    Attainments Educated to GCSE level or equivalent with a C grade pass in Maths and English.
    Electrical Engineering Certification
    Maintenance Certification
    Experience Experience in a manufacturing environment
    Proficient in the use of Microsoft packages
