Maintenance Engineer
Days: 6:00am to 17:00pm (4 days a week)
Salary: £18.59 per hour
Redditch

There is an immediate requirement for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join their Redditch site where they design, manufacture, and assemble precision forged and machined components for a variety of high industry aerospace customers across the UK. This position is permanent and offers an excellent opportunity to join a well-established company who have a strong order book with further growth planned into 2023 and beyond. Their training and development plan will give successful candidates the opportunity to develop professionally and truly maximise their potential.

As a Maintenance Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
  • Repairing and maintaining plant and equipment
  • To ensure all plant and equipment is kept in a safe and acceptable condition.
  • Working with production to minimise plant downtime.
  • Identify spare part requirements for machine repair.
  • Tests malfunctioning machinery and discuss problems with other maintenance workers, such as Plant Manager and toolmaker, to diagnose a malfunction.
  • Diagnose and replace faulty electrical or electronic components such as relays, switches and motors.
  • Diagnose and replace faulty mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic components of machinery and equipment.
  • Inspect and test machinery and equipment.

The ideal Maintenance Engineer will have the following skills and experiences:
  • A time served apprenticeship or experience in a relevant technical discipline.
  • Proven Mechanical maintenance ability with Hydraulic and Pneumatic experience.
  • Ability to respond to breakdowns and carry out planned maintenance.
  • Experience in a heavy industry environment.
  • Knowledge of Machine control / mechanical workings.
