Job Title: Engineering Systems Manager
Business Area: IS
Location: Thame
Job Purpose
Responsible for effectively managing PLM/CAD/CPQ systems and strategy, including projects and innovations, BAU maintenance and system performance. Working with a culturally and geographically diverse senior stakeholder group, this role manages a global team forging relationships, bringing improvements, adopting new services and ways of working to the business.

Management of global services supporting 400+ staff across multiple sites globally

Frequent requirement to travel to other Lucy UK sites around the UK, along with travel (20%) to Lucy sites abroad
An occasional need to visit partners at their premises around the UK to attend specific industry events Key Accountabilities
Accountabilities
Champion the use of integrated digital CPQ, CAD and PLM systems
Build and maintain an enterprise strategy and architecture for all systems and services managed, working closely with senior management and engineers to define a coherent strategic direction
Train and introduce new practices for better and more efficient ways of working to engineers, through user groups, site visits and third-parties
Manage projects through structured project management procedures ensuring thorough planning, communication, testing and training
Lead a multi-disciplinary team, comprising of permanent employees, contractors and managed service providers, to ensure cohesion between systems, collaboration and delivery of critical business services, alongside empowering and developing individual career progression
Effectively manage suppliers, ensuring best value services through activities such as license optimisation
Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of CAD/PLM/CPQ solutions and ways of working to ensure best practice within the Group, striving for simplicity over complexity when delivering changes to services and alignment to corporate strategies and product roadmaps
Deliver continual, tangible and measurable benefits in terms of improving the current CAD/PLM/CPQ service and operation and ensuring CAD/PLM/CPQ services are delivered consistently and in line with agreed metrics
Define, document and implement enhanced processes and administration practices that result in services that are performant, scalable and reliable
Measures of success
Continuous delivery of improvements and projects to managed systems
An excellent relationship with CAD/PLM/CPQ worldwide staff and senior management
An excellent understanding along with accurate and up-to-date documentation of all systems, processes and components managedQualifications, Experience & Skills

Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge And Experience

A degree in an engineering subject (or equivalent through experience or professional qualifications)
Flexibility is required with working hours
Job Specific Skills
Experience leading high performing teams in a complex environment
Experience managing suppliers (sourcing, onboarding, delivery, transition)
Experience in personal and team development which empowers and harnesses cohesion
Experience in service delivery (ideally with awareness of the complete ITIL lifecycle)
Experience in fiscal governance and creating business justifications
Ability to communicate at all levels and provide information to a diverse stakeholder group

Desirable Knowledge, Skills And Experience

Experience in Teamcenter, NX, Tacton Configurator
Project / programme management experience
Discrete Manufacturing Industry experience, desirably working with Design, Engineering and IT
Experience of CAD, PLM CPQ tools and processes
