Nights Logistics Coordinator

Redditch

Salary up to £30,000 (depending on experience)

Working Hours – Mon – Thurs 18:00pm – 06:00am

Recruit12 Construction has a fantastic opportunity for a Logistics Coordinator to join a leading global logistics company based in Redditch.

As Logistics Coordinator,your role involves working nights to ensure you can deliver outstanding and world class services 24/7. You are responsible for tracking shipments, liaising with customers and suppliers globally, quoting for transport, completing administrative tasks and effective and reliable communication with the dayshift team members.

As a Logistics Coordinator your responsibilities will include the following:

  • Tracking shipments
  • Organising transport
  • Managing customer enquiries
  • Managing carriers
  • Completing job updates
  • Updating KPIs
  • Ensuring continuity of service
  • Customer satisfaction
  • Cost reduction and improved efficiency
  • Achieving KPI targets
  • Business growth and development
  • Management and development of suppliers
  • Issue resolution and improvements
  • Effective communication
  • Supporting improvement activity

To be successful as an International Shipping Coordinator, you must demonstrate:

  • Proven experience in a similar position
  • Must be able to work in a lone working environment
  • Self-managing with good attention to detail
  • Highly organised with the ability to remain focused under pressure
  • Methodical and thorough approach to work
  • Must have a good level of English and Maths
  • Must have strong geographical UK knowledge
  • Must be computer literate including MS Office, email, spreadsheets and transport databases
  • Ability to multi-task and juggle priorities to meet requirements
  • Ability to adhere to processes
  • Must have a ‘Can Do Attitude’ and a desire to improve
  • Flexible – a “team player”
