The opportunity

This is an excellent opportunity for an aspiring Litigation Assistant to join our team of professionals in our London Office. You will be an integral part of the Employment Rights team, primarily focused on supporting senior solicitors in running mass litigation claims involving large numbers of clients, including preparing for hearings and meetings. You will be a team player with the ability to develop and maintain excellent client relationships and will be keen to engage in marketing and business development opportunities. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to progress to working on more complex Employment Tribunal cases.

The role

The role will involve supporting solicitors in handling cases and preparing for hearings and meetings. The role will also involve performing administrative tasks, maintaining case files, clerical tasks, as well as legal research and drafting legal documents. The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to communicate professionally, clearly and effectively. Day-to-day actions will include dealing with and responding to telephone calls, emails and messages in a professional timely manner.

You will:
be someone who is self-sufficient and thrives in a busy working environment
have employment law experience
have excellent communication and client care skills, demonstrating an ability to empathise with vulnerable clients is essential
have experience in manipulating data within Excel spreadsheets.
legal knowledge gained through a degree or other course is desirable
empathy with the Labour Trade movement is desirable
