Lancaster University Law School is a vibrant school that combines the disciplines of Law and Criminology. Having doubled in size in four years, the School is looking to expand its activities even further with this post. We seek a Lecturer in Law to contribute to the School’s Healthcare Law teaching and to deliver sessions across our core modules, with coverage in Tort or Public Law desirable. The post will be offered on either a Teaching & Research or Teaching & Scholarship basis.

You will contribute to the School’s undergraduate and postgraduate level modules as required and you will be expected to supervise undergraduate and postgraduate students. You will also take on administrative duties and/or leadership roles as requested by the Head of School.

For the Research & Teaching role you will pursue impactful research and deliver publications of a high quality and at a level appropriate for a strong submission to the next Research Excellence Framework. For the Scholarship & Teaching role you will be required to develop a programme of personal scholarship in your chosen field of study, applying this to your teaching and leadership activities.

Staff in the School continue to benefit from Lancaster’s strong commitment at institutional and School level to the provision of an environment that encourages and supports research and scholarship. The Law School is proud of its friendly, co-operative ethos that promotes collaborative working and the sharing of research and teaching experiences.
