Weymouth College

Lecturer in Computing & IT

XS Ref 4532

Weymouth College is a General Further Education College situated on the stunning Jurassic coastline in Dorset. We are an ambitious college offering broad learning opportunities to our students who are at the heart of all we do.

This is an exciting opportunity for an innovative and inspiring Lecturer in Computing and IT to join our team at Weymouth College, to provide learners with an outstanding learning experience to ensure they reach their maximum educational and developmental potential.

Experience and qualifications in teaching and learning would be advantageous, although industry experience coupled with the ambition of becoming an outstanding tutor will be considered. Weymouth College offers and supports free teacher training to those wishing to enter the teaching profession.

You will have the opportunity to deliver on a range of courses including the HND in Computing and the up-and-coming new Digital T Level in September 2024. An interest in computer architecture/hardware, networking and internet security would be highly advantageous.

You will be passionate about teaching and be able to take responsibility for providing pastoral support to a dedicated group of students. Teaching in this subject area presents the opportunity to be part of a dynamic and forward-thinking team that continues to enjoy exceptional student success.

We are excited to hear from you!

Please contact Martin Oliver (Director of Curriculum and Skills) for further details and to have an informal discussion about the role.
