You will be joining an existing team of supportive Learning Support Assistants. Training and support will be an ongoing aspect of the role. Please specify in your application your preferred age range of children you would like to support.

About the role

Applicants may be required to support the learning in classes or to provide support for individual children. We are also looking for the right people to support children with special educational needs. The position will entail working with children from Year 1 to Year 6. Experience of working with children in this age group is desirable but not essential. Candidates need to have a willingness to engage with the whole school community. A good level of English and Maths skills is essential.

The role will include:

  • working alongside class teachers in a specific phase in the school
  • supporting small groups of, and/or individual, children with their learning
  • being responsible for the learning and achievement of children you work with
  • supporting children in a pastoral role
  • working within a team
  • demonstrating high expectations for children
  • withholding the school values at all times
  • being highly professional
