Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit a Learning Support Assistant for a Secondary School based in the Trafford region of South Manchester. The role will start after the October half-term break and will continue though until the end of the academic year. It will be 5 days a week and will include having the school holidays off. The school is an Ofsted Good rated school that is situated close to public transport (bus, train and tram). The hours of work will be from 8:00am until 3:00pm every day with potential additional hours required for planning student provisions.In order to be successful in this role you will need to be a patient and adaptable person who can build professional relationships that are based on trust with ease and can show empathy at all times. Ideally, you will have experience of working within a secondary school setting before in a similar role and can jump straight into the position with minimal turn around time. The basic requirement however is to have experience of working with young people in any setting (such as volunteering) as well as being confident within a classroom setting. As the role will primarily involve working in 1 to 1 sessions with students, supporting them with their literacy and numeracy skills, you will need to have a strong command of the English language and will be happy to support the student (KS4 and KS4) across a variety of subjects.

  • Pay: £77 - £85 per day depending on experience
