My client based in Bristol is looking for an experienced Learning and Development officer to join their growing business. As a L&D officer you will be expected to support the L&D Department with the preparation and delivery of a variety of learning and development interventions. You will also continually look to update and improve current processes with the department and more widely across the business.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Deliver the induction programme to support new employees joining the business, ensure sessions are kept up to date and relevant to business needs
- Oversee the First 90 Days on boarding journey for new administrators, working with managers to implement effective training plans and on the job learning
- With guidance and support from the L&D Manager you will assist with evaluating the First 90 Days programme using surveys and focus group sessions, working with the L&D Manager to drive continuous improvement for our onboarding journey
- With oversight from the L&D Manager, you will assist in developing new training content to support evolving business needs, including facilitator notes, relevant materials and evaluation tools
- Work with people managers to develop on-the-job learning for new and existing colleagues in line with their skill and capability matrix
- Support employees completing professional training including use of the training budget by maintaining records, ordering materials and ensuring training contracts are in place where required
- Work collaboratively with other functions, including HR, Recruitment and L&D professionals across the Group when required
Qualifications & Knowledge:
* 5 GCSE’s (or equivalent at grades A*-C (or equivalent) to include English and Maths (essential)
- Sound knowledge of PowerPoint and other Microsoft Office applications (essential)
- Relevant train-the-trainer or foundation CIPD/TAP L&D qualification (desirable)
- Knowledge of the business and how L&D supports the business
Skills & Experience:
- Proven ability to build strong internal and external relationships
- Demonstrable relevant L&D experience (desirable)
- Ability to work autonomously without extensive supervision
