Job Role: Customer Service Advisor & Sales Advisor

Based: Bury

Salary: £24,000

Hours: 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday

Our Client is a well-established provider of specialist electrical components to the trade and are on the look out for Customer Service and Sales Advisor. With ex-stock availability of thousands of items for immediate delivery, their specialism lies with their dedicated team of specialists who design, manufacture and install low voltage switchgear systems and distribution boards built to customer specifications.

The role of Customer Service and Sales Advisor:

As part of our friendly team based at the Bury site, you’ll take great pride in speaking to customers and providing outstanding customer service, no matter how busy you are! As part of a small team you will also make a difference both front of house at the trade counter, and in the warehouse, stocking shelves and putting orders together to help deliver an efficient service.

Job duties of Customer Service and Sales Advisor:

• Interacting with our customers, including taking orders from customers over the telephone and serving them face to face on the trade counter
• Advising on suitable products and inputting orders into the system, using technical knowledge to discuss products and services and identifying opportunities to maximise orders
• Developing strong relationships with customers to secure repeat business
• Providing fantastic customer service on every call and interaction
• Order processing, including preparation, pack and dispatch
• As part of a small team, helping out with Yard Operative duties including loading and unloading of vehicles and helping out with deliveries using company vehicle.
• Maintaining an excellent product knowledge
• Contributing to the overall success and development of the business.

Candidate profile for Customer Service and Sales Advisor:

• Experience working in customer facing environments such as sales, customer service, wholesale, retail or trade counter.
• Experience and / or knowledge of electrics / electronics and especially switchgear would be a definite advantage.
• Good basic levels of literacy and numeracy
• Good basic IT skills
• Good listening skills
• Ability to build rapport swiftly

• Ability to manage time effectively
