We have a deanery gaps available - John Radcliffe Hospital to start asap, fixed term period of 4 months (minimum) with opportunities to extend.The post holder will work as part of a team of surgeons led by Consultants. This will include ward work ward, clinic and in the operating theatre.The post holder will be required to work a duty rota. The current rota is a 1:9 full shift rotaApplicants must hold a full GMC registration and can offer 2 years NHS experience.DUTIES OF THE POST
  • Principal Responsibilities:
Junior grade doctors are responsible for the day to day care of patients.In Particular Trauma Service Junior Doctors Are Responsible For
  • Routine care of all patients on the Trauma Service.
  • Specific responsibility for the assessment, care and theatre preparation for all emergency admissions when on-call.
  • Audit data collection, prescribing and immediate discharge communication for all patients on the Trauma Service.

There are 9 junior doctors working a full shift rota.Junior Doctors are rostered to work with the Trauma ‘Consultant of the week’ Team, the Orthogeriatric Team, on-call, ward afternoon/evening cover, Nights or ‘float week’.For more detail about the rota contact david.noyes@ouh.nhs.uk
  • Teaching
Instruction of medical undergraduates is actively encouraged.
  • Administration/Management
