This is a post for a Junior Clinical Fellow in Digital Leadership and Anaesthesia at the CT3+ level (with or without the primary FRCA).The post is available from August 2023 for 12 months.This is an Educational Fellowship Role, that will be sponsored to complete postgraduate certificate level academic studies at Brighton and Sussex Medical School in Leadership. The post holder will work for 50% of their time with the Digital Team in a Leadership Role within the Electronic Patient Record Programme. They will lead the Junior Doctor Digital Network and ensure that there is engagement and participation of Junior Doctors in this significant programme of transformation within the Trust.The post holder will spend the Digital Fellowship element of their role working closely with the CCIO and Deputy CCIO in engaging the Junior Doctor workforce in the Electronic Patient Record (EPR) Programme. They will attend and contribute to the workstreams of the programme and will represent Junior Doctor views at EPR Board. They will develop their leadership skills and complete a PGCE in Leadership at BSMS.The post-holder will spend their clinical time working in theatres and/or the Intensive Care Unit. The post-holder will be part of one of the resident on-call rotas suitable to their experience. East Sussex Healthcare comprises 2 acute hospitals, the Conquest Hospital in Hastings and the Eastbourne District General Hospital. All general surgery and trauma are based at the Conquest Hospital in addition to all consultant led obstetrics and gynaecology. Major urology, maxillo-facial and elective orthopaedics is based at Eastbourne DGH.The Critical Care Service for the trust is based in the 2 acute hospitals. We currently have 19 beds within the trust covering a mixture of level 2 and 3 patients. There are 11 beds on the Conquest site and 8 beds on the Eastbourne DGH site. There are teaching and research opportunities. There is a well-developed and supportive outreach service 24/7 on both sites who respond to the NEWS system and use electronic early warning scores.We provide safe, compassionate and high quality care to half a million people living or visiting East Sussex. Our extensive services are provided by 7000 + members of staff working from acute hospitals in Hastings and Eastbourne, three community hospitals in Bexhill, Rye and Uckfield, over 100 community sites and in people’s own homes.In 2020 the Care Quality Commission (CQC), rated us as ‘Good’ overall, and ‘Outstanding’ for being caring and effective.
