Corin is seeking an IT Support Apprentice to train to be able to provide 1st line IT support to our users across Corin worldwide and you will also be encouraged to get involved in key change projects which may involve elements of cutting-edge cloud computing.

You will be on an initial 18-month fixed term contract

  • Whilst completing the Information Communications Technician Apprenticeship (Support Technician) Level 3
  • Hybrid working - expected to work onsite a minimum of 2 days a week, so should be able to commute to Love Lane in Cirencester from 8.30am – 5pm Monday to Thursday, 8.30am – 4.30pm on a Friday.


The key responsibilities of the IT Support Apprentice are to:

  • Provide a first support to users.
  • Resolve issues for users remotely.
  • Manage hardware and software assets.
  • Install and configure equipment for new and existing users.
  • Ensure all support/service request issues are logged correctly on the support desk system and assigned correctly.
  • Contribute to the development of knowledgebase and frequently asked questions facilities and other appropriate user focused information sources, to enable staff to self-help.
  • Provide low level training when necessary
  • Liaise with 3rd party providers to resolve issues.
  • Provide cover and assistance to the IT Engineers and developers
  • Maintain and create IT Documentation when appropriate
  • Possible on call / weekend work as required.


The Ideal IT Support Apprentice will have.

  • The ability to attend college on day release for Information Communications Technician Apprenticeship (Support Technician) Level 3 course (20% of your time is allocated and dedicated to this)
  • Enthusiasm, organisation skills, be a quick learner and be able to work in a team.
  • Team / Leadership skills (maybe gained from scouts, DoE etc)
  • Communication skills, MS office, PC and Laptop configuration with Windows Operating systems.
  • GCSE English and Maths grade 9-4 (or equivalent).
  • ICT or computer science GCSE C or above.
  • Desirable: 2 A-Level Qualifications A-D (or equivalent).
  • Windows Server.
  • VM Ware.
  • Microsoft or Cisco qualifications would be desirable
  • The ability to attend college on day release for your NVQ in IT Infrastructure
  • Enthusiasm, organisation skills, be a quick learner and be able to work in a team.
  • Team / Leadership skills (maybe gained from scouts, DoE etc)
  • Communication skills, MS office, PC and Laptop configuration with Windows Operating systems.
  • GCSE English and Maths grade 9-4 (or equivalent).
