Corin is seeking a Test Lab & Global Support Engineer to conduct standard tests in line with our ISO 17025 accreditation that are be used to support regulatory submissions, CAPA projects or complaint response. As well as develop and maintain systems that help the global teams create and maintain the various product portfolios. You will be supporting the global test team to assist with regulatory submissions, CAPA’s and other development requirements for our medical implants and instruments. This role will suit a Biomedical Engineering graduate who has some experience or has a keen motivation to work within an active test lab, a strong systematic and methodical approach is essential coupled with excellent communication and time management.

The key responsibilities for the Test Lab and Global Support Engineer

• Perform testing to relevant test protocols and test methods within the Corin Test Laboratory and Appendix 1 of the Quality compliant to ISO 17025
• Develop new test methods for the Corin Test Laboratory.
• Revise existing test methods with updates and improvements.
• Perform and record scheduled checks on the equipment within the test laboratory.
• Generate and administrate quality system documentation.
• Continual improvements to the procedures and test methods.
• To have a good knowledge of the Quality Manual of the Corin test laboratory.
• To have a working knowledge of the standard operating procedures and work instructions for the Corin Test Laboratory.
• Creation and maintenance of 3D and 2D CAD data.
• Adhere to Quality Management System (QMS) requirements in line with Corin’s ISO 13485 QMS & Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) FDA21 CFR Part 820.
• Ensure that process & timeline requirements for Corrective & Preventive Actions (CAPA) are met in accordance with Corin’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and in support of Corin’s Global Objectives for CAPA.
• Support design teams if verification and validation activities.

Requirements:

The ideal Test Lab Engineer and Global Support Engineer will have / be

• Completed a degree, masters or PHD in Bio Medical or Mechanical Engineering.
• A good understanding of quality manuals and operating procedures.
• Good time management and communication skills.
• Systematic work ethic with strong attention to detail.
• High level numerical analysis skills.
• Technical report writing skills.
• 3D CAD and drafting experience.
• Knowledge of working in a highly regulated area, ideally ISO 17025 and ISO 13485.
• Static and dynamic testing experience would be an advantage
