The National IT Workforce Management Team are looking for an IT Projects Analyst to join the team on a 6-month fixed-term contract, with good experience in a project management capacity as well as experience working with IT solutions.

Some of the responsibilities will involve initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling and closure of projects. The successful candidate will also need to assist and support with the handover to business-as-usual activities. Furthermore, you will communicate with all stakeholders, both internal and external, and other affected parties to pre-empt problems and ensure that projects will be delivered within time and budget constraints.

Your New Role

  • Complete end-to-end ownership of project delivery
  • Responsible for creating and managing (monitoring, review and amending timelines) project plans
  • Risk and Issue Management to identify and mitigate and resolve risks and issues
  • Management of third-party suppliers to deliver projects within agreed timeframes, acting as the interface between the business and system integrator
  • Provide and present weekly status reporting into the relevant project stakeholders, including senior management and project sponsor
  • Work with project team and individuals to establish procedures, plans and practices that promote the adoption of appropriate solutions and the sustainability of desired results
  • Provide input and advice around optimisation of current/future workflows and business process
  • Ensures projects within area of responsibility are delivered on time to agreed scope and budget
  • Ensures policy compliance within area of responsibility

About You

  • Knowledge of WFM / HR / Payroll processes and the integrated HR application landscape
  • Is able to work independently, upon their own initiative and at a fast pace
  • Experience of project management life cycle (design, development, testing and implementation)
  • Previous experience in managing the processes of data migration, UAT and cutover
  • Experience of defining and proactively managing a project plan and deliver through others
  • Experience of gathering and interpreting business requirements
  • Is able to take significant responsibility with a pragmatic, goal-oriented approach
  • Be self-motivated, adaptable, and have the ability to build collaborative relationships at all levels
  • Excellent listening, interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
  • Is able to coordinate complex topics across teams, departments and business alike
  • Experience of Stakeholder Management and communication (internal & external)
  • Understanding of demand and release management processes
