Job Description

The Invasive Species Officer will coordinate the cross-Council approach to controlling, mapping, monitoring, and treating invasive non-native plant species, such as Japanese knotweed, Himalayan balsam, and other species listed under Schedule 9 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act (1981), on Council assets across Bridgend County Borough.
This post will also promote and implement positive management of invasive plant species across the County Borough through advising and working in partnership with national, regional and community organisations and promoting volunteering.
