How you’ll make a difference
This contract role has been created to provide internal communications support and stakeholder engagement for the organisation, including change programmes.
The role will report into the Senior Internal Communications Officer but you’ll be working closely with the wider Strategic Communications team and supporting officers to share key messages with staff at all levels of the organisation.
What will you be doing?
- It will be key for you to support the planning, development and delivery of internal communications and engagement activities, tailoring activity appropriately to different internal stakeholders.
- You will be coordinating, creating, scheduling and publishing informative and compelling content for colleagues, including intranet news items and updates, briefing notes, e-newsletters and presentations.
- It will be your responsibility to prepare sensitive and carefully crafted communications activity, to support the smooth delivery of projects within a change programme.
- You will be producing high quality content to keep staff updated and selecting the most effective communication channels to deliver with impact.
- You will support the Senior Internal Communications Officer with communications and engagement activities, including any administrative requirements. You will also support the wider Strategic Communications team in the event of any emerging crisis/reputation management situations.
What we need from you
- It is essential you have exceptional copywriting skills for a range of audiences and formats.
- You will have experience gained in a marketing or communications role. Specific internal communications experience would be helpful, but appropriate external-facing communications experience will also be considered.
- Given the elements of this role, you should be a self-starter, able to work independently and comfortable working at pace whilst maintaining standards.
- You will have strong relationship-building skills and will be able to absorb, evaluate and communicate complex information appropriate to the audience.
