You will deliver a powerful, compellingand effectiveinternalcommunications strategy, which will bring the regional ambition, priorities and achievements to life, supporting the Regional Director, Lead People Business Partner and Regional Management Team, You will also work as part of our national “Internal Communications Network”, leading on strategic communications and helping to tell the North’s story beyond our region.

As a regional Internal Communications Consultant, you will have a fantastic opportunity to shape the way we communicate with the thousands of staff and volunteers who do so much to look after the beautiful places and spaces across the North region.

This role is a permanent full-time role and can be based from any of our regional offices in Altrincham/Manchester, York, Newcastle or Grasmere in the Lake District.

What you’ll be doing:B eing the voice for all internal communications across the North, you’ll work with senior directors to develop and manage the internal communication plan that will inspire staff and volunteers by bringing the regional ambition, priorities, and achievements to life.

You’ll provide tactical and strategic internal communications advice to support and engage our people with our national and regional priorities. You’ll partner with the regional senior management team, providing advice and support to ensure they best communicate to and engage with their teams.

Who we’re looking forYou’ll be an expert in your field, with extensive experience of working with senior leaders to develop engaging and successful internal communication, including:

• excellent communications skills: verbal, written and presenting

• a proven track record of delivering communications through digital, print and face to face channels in a large, complex organisation

• developing and delivering an internal communication (or similar) strategy and plan

• proven experience of communicating appropriately with a wide range of colleagues in different roles

• a brilliant networker and influencer - you’ll be highly successful at advising and coaching senior directors at board level, offering advice on internal communications issues, from crisis communications to strategic business plan messaging

• great project management skills, ideally including some experience of event management

• extensive experience of successfully managing diverse and varied workloads with tight timeframes and budgets.

• an excellent multi-tasker and self-starter

• excellent IT skills, including a good working knowledge of Microsoft, Sharepoint, Adobe Campaign and Photoshop plus basic video editing skills as we work to tell our stories in a variety of channels.
