We are currently recruiting for an Internal Auditor or a Senior Internal Auditor to join our evolving Internal Audit team. Our Internal Audit team play an important role in helping to protect the assets, reputation and sustainability of the Society.

In this role you will work closely with the Internal Audit Assistant Manager (AM) to develop effective cross-functional relationships to provide independent assurance to the Leadership Team and the Board on the effectiveness of the Society’s governance, risk management and internal control frameworks.

We are looking for someone who is dynamic and analytical with a desire to drive continuous improvement whilst developing strong relationships with all business areas.

To succeed in this role, you will need to demonstrate a successful track record within a similar Internal Audit role. We are willing to consider applicants with relevant Internal Audit experience outside of Financial Services and those that are qualified by experience in addition to qualified individuals.

Here’s a taste of what you will be doing…

  • Support with the Annual Internal Audit Planning by providing information obtained during fieldwork, client discussions and reviews
  • Where required, support the Internal Audit (AM) in drafting the initial Terms of Reference
  • Perform Internal Audit fieldwork to a high standard in accordance with the NBS and IIA standards
  • Support the IA AM in drafting areas of Internal Audit reports
  • Work effectively with business areas to achieve the right outcomes for the Society
  • Where necessary, support the Assistant Internal Audit Manager and Senior Internal Audit Manager with activity relating to our Strategy Improvement Programme
  • Where appropriate, work with the co-source provider to deliver fieldwork of reviews
