The Role:
Working closely with the Procurement team the Materials Manager key task is to organize the safe and efficient storage and distribution of materials and goods, and to ensure that orders/ shipments are fulfilled correctly.

  • Organise Dematic deliveries/ shipments to ensure alignment with project schedule
  • Generate, own, update and manage project Logistics Plan
  • Coordinate drivers, vehicles, movement of loads, & journeys
  • Operate IT platforms to manage timings, costs, & material levels
  • Prepare and plan issue of relevant paperwork for regulatory bodies
  • Liaise with and manage resource and staffing levels to support Logistics Plan
  • Co-ordinate and assure delivery plan against actuals in alignment with the Site Manager
  • Manage suppliers and subcontract on-site logistics teams ensuring best practice
  • Champion Dematic’s One Dematic safety culture on site
  • Plan and coordinate timely call off and delivery of equipment to site and points of work
  • Review and assure relevant logistic documentation such as SSoW, lifting plans and task briefings
  • Report accurate, detailed, and timely daily updates via cloud based site reporting tooling.
What We Are Looking For:
To be successful in this highly business crtitical role you will have a proven track record of managing material flow within site supervision / site management with a passion for driving right first time delivery, and be able to create processes around this.

Coupled with this you will have:

  • Site and logistical safety awareness for the assigned scope
  • Knowledge of all relevant vehicles and plant
  • Subcontractor Scope of Works
  • Knowledge of principles of project planning and site organization
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office basic user of Dematic software like Sharepoint, MS Project, Gensuite & Maestro

Please note this role requires substantial travel to our installations site, so a full driving license and an ability to travel extensively is required.
