Infrastructure performance Consultant - £62,000 - Portsmouth

Your new company
This NHS Trust are one of the largest acute Hospital Trusts in the country. They provide acute and specialist services to people across the local area.

Your new role
The focus is on customer satisfaction of the user experience within a large number of clinical and non-clinical business IT systems. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with industry leading advanced performance management tools, solving some of the most difficult business and technology problems across a vast array of technologies

What you’ll need to succeed

  • Extensive experience with Windows Client and Server OS and application platforms
  • Good hands-on experience with Vmware 6.5 and up
  • Good experience and understanding of Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops/XenApp
  • Broad knowledge and experience of IT Application architectures and performance troubleshooting, in particular Web applications with SQL Server
  • Good understanding of networking with TCP analysis and troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of Web Protocols, HTTP, SQL Server
  • Experienced in used of Wireshark for protocol analysis
  • Understanding of Storage platforms and performance
  • Logical approach to troubleshooting, with ability to see the big picture but then focus and drill down into detail
