***This vacancy is only available to employees of Caerphilly County Borough Council including agency staff currently working at the Council. ***
Human Resources are looking to recruit a HR Officer to work within the HR Managing Attendance Team where the ability to respect the confidential nature of the work undertaken is of paramount importance. The post is full time and is fixed term for one year ending the 3rd October 2022 to cover a Career Break.
The position is normally based at Ty Penallta, however, due to the current restrictions the post holder will be required to work from home in the immediate future and IT equipment will be made available. However, it should be noted that Agile working (including homeworking) may be a longer-term requirement.
The post holder will be responsible for providing day-to-day advice, guidance and professional support to employees, managers, Headteachers and Trade Union representatives in respect of sickness absence and wellbeing, conditions of service, the implementation of HR policies, procedures and processes, employment legislation and related issues.
Applicants must have current working knowledge of HR policies and procedures and be able to work under pressure dealing with complex and contentious issues and meet tight timescales in this very busy team.
