You will be working for a well-established organisation based within the manufacturing and distribution industry and they have been established for 30+ years. This role is based in Tamworth; however, you will be happy to travel to Redditch and Scotland as and when required. Hours of work 8.30 am to 4.30 pm Monday to Friday.

Your main duties as the HR Generalist will include:

  • Providing advice and guidance on employee relations issues such as disciplinaries, grievances, performance management, sickness absence management including OHA referrals, investigation meetings and other
  • Working in conjunction with the HR & Payroll Administrator to administer and coordinate the new starter/onboarding process
  • Administering and coordinating the leaver’s process, including conducting exit interviews
  • Working with the Senior HR Generalist to monitor and review all HR policies and procedures
  • Working with the HR Administrators to ensure that all personnel information is maintained and kept up to date and ensuring the HR System is maintained accurately
  • Working with the Senior HR Generalist to monitor and review all HR policies and procedures

  • Supporting the Senior HR Generalist with the recruitment and selection process, assisting managers, where required, with interviewing and selection
  • Reviewing and updating job descriptions with Line Managers Assisting as and when required with providing information to and liaising with the outsourced payroll provider to ensure staff are paid correctly and on time
  • Ensuring the casework tracker is kept up to date to maintain accurate reporting to the Board of Directors
  • Supporting the Warehouse with general HR queries and be an active presence by holding monthly HR clinics
  • Supporting the Legal & Compliance Team with Policies, the LMS, and Health, and Safety, where applicable

As the HR Generalist, you will have:

  • Previous experience working in a similar position
  • Previous experience in employee relations, including disciplinary, grievances, and absence management
  • CIPD qualification (preferably level 5 or working towards)
  • Knowledge of employment legislation
  • Strong communication skills - ability to liaise with people at all levels within the business both verbally and in writing
  • Organised and accustomed to managing a varied caseload
  • You may have experience in one of the following: HR Generalist, HR, Human Resources or Personnel Advisor, Regional HR or Personnel Adviser, Human Resources Manager and HR Advisor
  • Proven track record of delivering excellent HR customer service with pace, accuracy and acumen

As an HR Generalist, the salary is between £28,000 to £30,000 depending on experience plus you will receive fantastic benefits.
