JOB PURPOSE

  • The role plays a crucial role in the development of Burberry’s global HR Data Analytics capability
  • Work with customers to analyse all aspects of HR data using recognised analytical techniques to enable strategic and operational decision making
  • Maintenance and ongoing development of existing HR Dashboards
  • Develop appropriate governance and controls to ensure compliance to legislation and company policy with a strong focus on data privacy
  • Exploit opportunities for standardisation and automation
  • Highlight issues with data integrity and manage appropriate remediation activities
  • Working in close partnership with IT to align on corporate data governance principles
  • Drive continuous improvement and using customer feedback and third parties to support where necessary
  • Utilise technology and BBS HR team members to avoid single points of failure
  • Manage the resolution of incidents and escalations in relation to HR data and related technology
  • Act as a subject matter expert on HR data supporting cross-functional projects where required

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for the effectiveness of Burberry’s HR data analytics capability
  • Own regular data cleanse process ensuring remediation activities, ownership, and progress is documented
  • Complete necessary impact assessments on new reporting and analytics capabilities
  • Completion of ad hoc reporting requests received from the business leveraging recognised analytical techniques
  • Accountable for the resolution of HR reporting issues
  • Act as a subject matter expert on HR data and reporting in support of business change initiatives
  • Ensure compliance to internal controls, standards, and regulations
  • Perform other related duties as required
  • Leadership
  • Coaching HR colleagues on the effective use of HR data
  • Influence HR leadership team to promote data accuracy through adoption of best practice ways of working
  • Continuous improvement
  • Regularly assess business processes to identify and deploy continuous improvement – prioritising those initiatives which promote compliance and benefit the customer
  • Work with team members to identify opportunities for smarter working, simplification, and automation

PERSONAL PROFILE

  • Recognised HR or Data Analytics qualification or practical experience in a similar role
  • Degree educated (Preffered)
  • Advanced excel user (working knowledge of VBA)
  • Working knowledge of BI and dashboarding tools (e.g. Tableau, Business Objects, Alteryx, Power BI)
  • Experience of Success Factors and/or SAP HCM would be desirable
  • Experience working in an HR team would be desirable
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office products to produce reports, presentations, communications, and process guides
  • Flexible communication style to engage with global stakeholders
  • Ability to use data, logic, and best practice to support reasoning
  • Ability to negotiate achievable deliverables with stakeholders to manage expectations
  • Experience in supporting and coaching wider team members
  • Ability to prioritise workload and set realistic timelines for completion to meet agreed deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
