JOB DETAILS

Working closely with Art Directors (and the Editorial Director), the Conceptual Copywriter will use words and concepts to evolve the way we reach consumers and tell our stories.

A strong background in advertising copywriting and concept development is essential, as is meaningful experience in and passion for the fashion and/or luxury lifestyle sector.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Work with Art Directors as ‘creative teams’ to concept and execute campaigns and special projects of varying scope and impact. Partner to shape and define the storytelling behind our creative concepts.

Working closely with marketing, creative and copy teams, you will focus on building a deep understand of the brand and its creative direction, to tell compelling, rich stories across all our campaigns and marketing.

RESPONSIBILITIES CONTINUED

  • Produce credible and creative verbal solutions to a creative vision. Finesse articulation of product & creative concepts.
  • You will be responsible for crafting brand stories and copy ensuring it all delivers to business priorities. Maintain the brand tone of voice across multiple channels, ensuring consistent accuracy and messaging.
  • Demonstrating a sound strategic approach and the ability to craft inspirational storytelling.
  • Demonstrating adaptability to work across multiple brand and fashion campaigns.
  • You will be as capable in Copywriting as you are creative strategy and keen to expand your creative thinking.
  • Work closely with the rest of the marketing teams on delivering creative campaigns in line with their briefs.
  • Originate overarching, media agnostic big ideas.
  • Research subjects and deliver copy.
  • Ensure deadlines are delivered accurately and on schedule.
  • Produce credible and creative verbal solutions.

Comfortable and confident working creatively and collaboratively with various teams across the business.

You will have exceptional creative talent and thrive in busy environments.

Excellent written and verbal communications skills.

Understand and help to evolve the Burberry brand and voice.

A good understanding of digital channels and how the luxury customer interacts with them.

Able to work efficiently to tight deadlines, juggling numerous projects at once, and proactively sourcing the relevant information from key stakeholders.

Consistently provide creative concepts and solutions based on briefs and deadlines; anticipate and proactively respond to future needs.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Experienced advertising agency copywriter with strong conceptual skills. Diverse book of work, including substantial agency experience in fashion and luxury.

Demonstrable knowledge of and passion for the fashion and luxury space.

Entrepreneurial, nimble and solutions-oriented mindset.

Excellent communication, organizational and problem-solving skills while working both independently and as part of a team.
