DHL Cross-Border Solutions UK focuses on providing standard and bespoke cross-border shipping solutions to large UK retailers, either out of the UK or from European warehouses or a combination of both.

Utilising DHL networks, alongside optional transport solutions, we build outbound and return solutions to meet individual customer requirements. Our focus is in supporting retailers in their B2C needs and growing their cross-border options.

Great development opportunity for the right candidate as DHL CBS UK is fast growing and in a period of transformation and this is a new role to help support that growth.

We are looking to recruit an HR Advisor, based in Staines-Upon-Thames.

Role:

To provide support in all areas of HR to the local Cross Border Solutions UK team including (but not limited to) recruitment, Employee Relations advice and support, sickness management, comp and benefits, L&D, workshop delivery, employee engagement activities and other generalist HR duties. Working closely with our HR SLA provider to ensure all parts of the SLA are being met and liaise with the relevant departments as necessary.

Role responsibilities:

  • Work closely with HR SLA service partner to ensure services are running smoothly and being delivered as required
  • Provide general HR support to all the employees of DHL CBS UK
  • Co-ordinate with internal and external parties such as HR SLA provider, Legal support, Occupational Health suppliers responding promptly and build solid relationships
  • Manage and monitor any HR projects
  • Covers all HR tasks working closely with own team, SLA Provider an GHO HR
  • Provide guidance and advice to managers and employees on HR policies and procedures, ensuring that good practice is followed consistently
  • Proactively engage with other GHO, HR SLA Provider and the local team with regards to the annual Employee Opinion Survey, the roll out, communication of results and action planning improvements
  • Liaise with management and relevant parties to ensure effective management of absence
  • Proactively plan and execute Employee Initiatives like Appreciation Week, Diversity Week, Learning and Development week – keeping up to date with the relevant schedules
  • Own the local recruitment processes (in conjunction with HR SLA provider) to ensure Job descriptions are created and maintained, advertisements are accurate with a view to finding and securing the best candidates. Assisting the hiring manager with interviews and selection
  • Manage the on boarding of new starters including vetting etc

Experience Required:

  • Knowledgeable HR Generalist with excellent experience in ER, performance management and involvement in projects.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Well organised and accustomed to working autonomously and flexibly within a face paced working environment.
  • Confident and enthusiastic person
  • Has the ability to deal with difficult situations with confidence and sensitivity

Qualifications:

  • Ideally a CPP or working towards CIPD, or equivalent level of advisory experience. Other relevant experience would be considered
